Sound DNA

  • Pop

The second track of this "The Conductor" includes an untitled song that most refer to as "Crescent City." It's sung by Beverly Mahr and would, in 1968, be the center of a lawsuit with Gordon Jenkins going after Johnny Cash. The tune was alleged to be the source of Cash's song "Folsom Prison Blues" and was similar enough that Cash settled with Jenkins for an undisclosed amount out of court with a sealed judgement.
