Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings is an album by American rock band Counting Crow, their fifth studio album. It was released in the United States on March 25th, 2008. It is thematically divided, with the Saturday Nights side being more rock-influenced and Sunday Mornings having a more folk and country-influenced sound. It was recorded from June 2006-April 2007, with Gil Norton producing the Saturday Nights section and Brian Deck producing the Sunday Mornings section.On the meaning of the album, Counting Crows frontman Adam Duritz said: “ is about really wanting to mean something and failing to do it. You want your life to mean something. You want to be somebody and then what you turn out to be is so much less than what you thought you were going to be." Four singles were released for the album, being 1492, You Can’t Count On Me, Come Around, and When I Dream Of Michelangelo, with the latter two only be released for Triple A airplay. .
