About
After years of releasing fantastical, small-scale pop albums to his devoted cult of followers, Kevin Barnes kicked of Montreal into high gear with Satanic Panic In the Attic. As weird as his songs could get (and that's usually pretty weird), his knack for churning out classic hooks reigned above all, whether he was tackling a Thin Lizzy-style stomper on "How Lester Lost His Wife," a Floyd/Beatles reverie on "Eros' Entropic Tundra," or a neo-Beach Boys jam on “Lysergic Bliss.”
