Sammy recorded these recorded in January of 1953 when he was between contracts with Capitol and Decca Records. The highlight of these tunes is “The Gypsy In My Soul” which wouldn’t see an LP release until 1957 on “Sammy Jumps With Joya". The tunes sung by Joya Sherrill are likely recordings from the Jubilee catalog and date from 1949-1950.
