<i>Random</i> finds infamous Latin art-rocker Charly Garcia going back to his roots, exploring the wild moment when the sunny bubblegum pop and blissful psychedelia of the ’60s transformed into the spaced-out prog fantasias and stylish glam racket of the ’70s. Garcia snarls with glee over the raucous throwback blues riffs of “Primavera,” unleashes a stomping groove layered with arena-sized keyboard hooks on “Otro,” and even swipes the iconic and undeniable “Be My Baby” beat for the aptly titled “Spector.”
