Queen Radio: Volume 1

About

First, Queen Radio was the name of Nicki Minaj’s record-breaking Apple Music-exclusive radio show. Now, it’s also the title of her greatest-hits collection. As an album, Queen Radio features nearly two hours of music, the Queens-hailing MC giving us mixtape hits (“Itty Bitty Piggy”), ciphers with some of her favorite MCs (“Roman’s Revenge,” “Beez in the Trap,” “Do We Have a Problem?”), pop smashes (“Starships,” “Super Bass”), stylistic tributes to MCs of yesteryear (“Anaconda,” “Barbie Dreams”), showcases of her singing voice (“Your Love,” “Right Thru Me,” “Save Me”), and a handful of rap-offs with her Young Money family (“High School,” ”Moment 4 Life,” “Truffle Butter,” “Seeing Green”). There’s something here for every kind of Nicki Minaj fan, save for maybe the ones solely interested in gossip about her personal life. And for them, there’s the radio show.
