About
Coming to his sixth album with ironclad bona fides for making smart yet accessible electronic music, Kieran Hebden continues to color rhythm-oriented fare with his delicate touch. “Locked” reaffirms his talent for pitter-patter drums and memorable, melodic hooks, while “Ocoras” delivers a driving house beat with enough grit in the groove to feel retro. “Pinnacles” offers a rollicking bassline and crashing piano chords that also recall a golden era of underground disco, though like all Four Tet creations, it brings something new to the party.
