Oktubre es el segundo álbum de estudio del grupo de rock argentino Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota. Fue editado en octubre de 1986. Por muchos fanáticos este álbum es considerado la obra maestra del grupo. Grabado a mediados de 1986, el álbum se caracteriza por un sonido que incorporó influencias del new wave y el post punk (lo cual significó un cambio con respecto a su álbum anterior, Gulp!), y por su narrativa con elementos distópico,2​ inspirada por las revoluciones sociales históricas y el contexto bélico internacional de la Guerra fría, así como también del escenario político argentino en el período de la vuelta a la democracia. El arte de tapa, diseñado por el artista plástico Rocambole, está inspirado en la Revolución rusa de 1917. En 2007, la versión argentina de la revista Rolling Stone situó a Oktubre en el puesto n.º 4 en su lista de Los 100 mejores álbumes del rock argentino. --------------------------------------------------------------- English translation Oktubre is the second album from Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota. It was released in October 1986. For many fan, this is often considered Patricio Rey's magnum opu. Recorded mid-1986, the album is characterized by a sound that incorporated influences from new wave and post-punk (a marked change from their debut Gulp!) and with its narratives comprised of dystopian element, largely inspired by historical socialist / communist revolutions and the geopolitical context of the Cold War and their parallels to the political environment of the band's native Argentina as they eventually returned to democracy in October of 1983. The cover art, designed by visual artist Rocambole, is inspired by the Russian Revolution of 1917. .
