About

Released in 1993, Not in Kansas Anymore is the second album by American alternative hip hop group Basehead. Stephen Thomas Erlewine, writing for Allmusic, gave the album three out of five stars, claiming that it "is missing a key ingredient -- charm", additionally commenting on its "lazy" sound. Despite this, he maintained that "there's several tracks that rank with the best songs on the debut". On the other hand, Rolling Stone writer Danyel Smith labelled the album "an alternative to the benign bullshit music that floods the chain stores and commercial radio waves".
