About

Every Time I Die's fifth album is an unrelenting onslaught of sonic agitation. Driven by vocalist Keith Buckley—who seethes with wild-eyed chaos on "The Sweet Life" and unleashes throat-searing witch screams on "Roman Holiday"—New Junk Aesthetic sees the New York band dabbling in herky-jerky stoner rock ("White Smoke"), punk-infused metalcore ("For the Record"), and lacerating post-hardcore ("Organ Grinder"). The group's penchant for Southern-rock grooves surfaces on the hot-rodding "Wanderlust."
