Midnight Boom is the third album from The Kill, released on March 10, 2008 through Domino Records (March 17, 2008 in the United States). It was recorded in Benton Harbor, MI. Midnight Boom is a concept album telling the story of two lovers who feel their story is coming to an end. Songs follow each other on the rythm of the lover's interactions : from anger to sadne, from certainty to doubt. The CD is followed by a secret track, "The Last Goodbye". It is left to the listener to understand if they are actually leaving each other or if their love story will endlessly continue with these "Midnight Booms" : the title refers to the moment the moon comes up and everyone else goes to bed, but the two lovers who look at their dying relation and quarrel. .
