Sound DNA

  • Electronic
  • Synth-Pop / New Wave
  • synthetic
  • detached
  • nocturnal

The versions on releases are as follows, based on actual play duration:
• 2:27 7-inch A-side, which is also on the 1st and 2nd soundtrack albums.
• 1:00 "Original" / "T.V. Version", which is also on the 1st soundtrack album, it's actually a slightly different mix than what actually aired on the TV series.
• 6:55 "Extended Remix" by François Kevorkian and Ron St. Germain. Has loud a loud conga loop throughout, and added samples.
• 4:30 "12 Inch Edit", a shorter remix by François Kevorkian and Ron St. Germain. Substantially very similar to the Extended Remix.
• 3:17 "Remix" by Louil Silas, Jr., with engineering by Taavi Mote. Starts with "machine gun" synths but is entirely instrumental.
The remixes are swapped or incorrectly labeled on many releases. Sometimes Silas and Mote are mistakenly credited for the Extended Remix or 12 Inch Edit. Sometimes the version titles are just mixed up, e.g. the 3:17 remix is mistakenly said to be the 12 Inch Edit. Confirm what actually plays and make tracklist/notes edits as necessary if you run across one of these. (discussion (opens in a new tab))
