Metsä is a Metal album by Moonsorrow, originally released in 1997.
About
Metsä (Forest) is the second demo by the Finnish folk metal band Moonsorrow, and their first recording to see official release (the surviving part of the band's first demo was later released as part of the Heritage: 1995-2008 - The Collected Works box set). The album was remastered in 2001, and then remastered again with the addition of bass guitar, synthesizer, and new vocals in 2002. The third and fourth tracks have been combined (Hvergelmir / Elivagar (Pakanavedet)) on all digital releases of the song, although they were listed as separate tracks in the vinyl box set. They were also re-recorded for the band's EP Tulimyrsky. Unofficial translations of the track titles (may be subject to further improvement by native Finnish speakers): 1. The Darkness Comes (1:55) 2. Mighty Winter Frost (6:53) 3. Bubbling Boiling Spring (7:51) .
