About

Merzbeat is an album by Japanese noise artist Merzbow released on September 2nd, 2002, recorded from 2001-2002. The original CD contains a hidden track after 59 tracks of silence titled "Amlux (Remixed by Jack Dangers) (2nd Version)" As the title suggest, Merzbeat strays away from Merzbow's signature harsh noise style in turn for a rhythmic, looping sound bordering on hip-hop. However, the album still features some of the harsh textures Merzbow is known for. .
