About
Mercy is the independent solo country studio album by outlaw country singer-songwriter Cody Jink, released on November 12, 2021, through his own label, Late August Record. Remarkably, Jinks released Mercy simultaneously with a heavy metal album titled None the Wiser, which he recorded with his metal band project, Caned By Nod. Mercy features his signature gritty honky-tonk sound and includes notable songwriting collaborations with prominent artists like Kendell Marvel, Adam Hood, and Chris Shiflett. "All It Cost Me Was Everything" was the driving single for the record, a hard-backed anthem detailing hard-won life lessons and the reality of living out a country song. Jinks locked his band in the Sonic Ranch studio in Texas for 12 hours a day across 30 days to completely write and arrange the music. .
