About

Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett are a match made in a hazy kind of heaven. Smart, sincere, and sparkling with the kind of armchair Zen that makes their individual work so special, Lotta Sea Lice finds them as effortlessly in touch as ever. Together, they trade bars over folksy, low-stakes classic rock (“Over Everything,” “Continental Breakfast”), graze on country (“Outta The Woodwork”), and even transform Vile’s “Peeping Tomboy” into a Barnett-led ballad (“Peeping Tom”)—an inspired, beautifully low-key collaboration.
