About
Los Ojos is the second and final studio album by Argentine rock band Spinetta y los Socios del Desierto, released in 1999 by Universal Music. The album cover is unique in that the title is embossed, mimicking Braille. The album, besides being dedicated to the model and Spinetta's second ex-wife, Carolina Peleritti, is also dedicated to the blind, to those who can see, and to those who choose not to see. In contrast to their previous work, the group focuses much more on electronic pop here, and Spinetta forgoes fully utilizing the band's power, prioritizing vocals over melodie. It's an introspective album, with slow, melancholic, and poignant song. Spinetta disbanded the group in 2000, but its members continued as guest musicians: Torres until Silver Sorgo (2001), and Wirtz until Para los árboles (2003). .
