Jonathan Richman: "We would usually do one encore of Ice Cream Man, and at the Hammersmith Odeon (which was in London, not Birmingham), I probably did too many encores of it. Two would have been plenty; our drummer, D. Sharpe, started up another chorus by himself. I thought it was a mistake at the time, but being on stage before 3500 people as we were, I didn't think this was the time to make an issue out of it. In a word, we did too many encores, and it's as simple as that."
This album was recorded live at the Hammersmith Odeon, London - it's not noted on the album credits.
