Light of Day, Day of Darkness is the second (one-track) studio album by the Norwegian progressive metal band, Green Carnation. The album was composed, written and arranged by founding member Terje Vik Schei (a.k.a. Tchort). It was released by The End Records on 8 January 2002. It is composed of a single 60-minute track. Also, the album was largely inspired by the death of Tchort's daughter and the birth of his son. .
