- Because of time constraints, the original double vinyl album contains 17 tracks; later CD editions contains only 15 tracks.
- The 2022 40th anniversary CD reissue contains 18 tracks, and the digital MP3 / WAV / FLAC editions contains 20 tracks. Both are remastered.
- A second version of the soundtrack contains 6 classical tracks used in the movie, including Ravel's 'Bolero'. This version was never offered a re-issue on CD or digital (as of 2022).
- 2 performances in the movie ('Un Parfum De Fin Du Monde' and 'Les Uns Et Les Autres') were sung by Jean-Pierre Savelli and mimicked on screen by Manuel Gelin (whose real voice can only be heard on 'Body and Soul Incorporated'). These versions were never part of the soundtrack and are available only on the digital compilation 'Jean-Pierre Savelli Best Of' (2011). Savelli can also be heard in the 'Bolero' with Christiane Legrand singing the part of Geraldine Chaplin.
