Band's first album to be recorded entirely in English (and to feature new vocalist - Tony Harnell [then known as Tony Hansen]).
Released in September 1984 in Europe.
Earliest releases of this album (published in Norway and Japan) had a withdrawn RED cover (opens in a new tab), that was instantly replaced by the BLUE cover (opens in a new tab) (showing winged axe and Viking helmet) in many markets. Some CD issues reinstate the original red cover.
U.S./Canadian releases omit track B1 Tor With The Hammer, moved track B2 Break The Ice to position B1 and has a different guitar solo, changing the running time to 2:45. Appearing at position B2 is Eddie, which appeared as a bonus track on later CDs. The opening drum section to Tor With The Hammer was also tacked onto the beginning of track position B4 Deadly Metal (changing its running time to 2:40).
