About

It would be hard to find a groovier expression of faith than the film version of Andrew Lloyd Webber's rock opera. This soundtrack brings the story of Jesus to life through fuzz-tone bass, twanging guitars, and a psychedelic orchestra that embodies the sound of the time. Topped with sublime vocal performances from a plaintive Yvonne Elliman as Mary Magdalene, and the powerful Ted Neeley as Jesus, instant standards like "I Don't Know How to Love Him" and "What's the Buzz" achieve glorious transcendence.
