About

Live session with surprise guest appearances by Lou Rawls ("I'd Rather Drink Muddy Water") and Nancy Wilson ("Save Your Love for Me"), the debut of Joe Zawinul's "Rumpelstilstkin," a feature for Cannonball Adderley's alto on "Somewhere" and a bit of his soprano on "The Scavenger." Keyboardist Zawinul and cornetist Nat Adderley are also heard from. It's a loose but fun live session. This album is good.

Notes from the original pressing. Later editions may differ.

Original black and rainbow labels, variation most easily identified by Side 1/2 at right side of labels, not just 1/2.
A similar entry with apparently the same labels, In Person (US 1969) (opens in a new tab), can not be identified as a Los Angeles pressing, as it has different runout info.
