In Our Wake by Atreyu

In Our Wake is a Rock album by Atreyu, originally released in 2018. On Gatefold: 11 pressings tracked.

About

Decorated veterans of the Orange County metalcore scene, Atreyu have always embraced tinkering with their sound while holding close to a firm set of must-haves: intense tempos, massive riffs, and heart-on-sleeve emotion. With John Feldmann (producer of 2007’s Lead Sails Paper Anchor) back at the helm, this deluxe edition of the band’s seventh full-length finds them a little older and wiser, but as explosive as ever. “House of Gold” and the lighters-up ballad “Terrified” are a refreshing change of pace that capture the sound of a 20-year-old band growing up, while the soccer stadium chants of “The Time Is Now” and the title track’s driving rhythm and sing-along chorus prove they definitely haven’t mellowed. The seven bonus tracks include B-sides from the In Our Wake and Long Live sessions, including a grittier “The Time is Now,” a delicate string-assisted acoustic take on “In Our Wake,” and a handful of bracing heavy gems.
