About

The competition to get into East High School’s annual winter show is pretty heated, and the songs from Disney’s mid-’00s smash turn up the temperature. Peppy pop like the pulsing basketball-court jam “Get’cha Head In the Game” and the Latin-tinged strivers’ anthem “Bop to the Top” keep the mood lively, while Vanessa Hudgens’ emotionally charged ballads—the wistful “When There Was Me and You” and the triumphant “Breaking Free”—trace her character Gabriella’s journey from new girl to rising star.
