The Marshall Tucker Band wrote some killer, road-tested Southern-rock staples, and the best from their long-running career can be found here. They combine breezy, down-home vibes with gut-wrenching heartache on “Can’t You See,” as Doug Gray belts out his pain over slick leads and flute hooks. The honky-tonk pedal steel and weepy fiddle of “Searchin’ for a Rainbow” drive home its restless narrator’s melancholy, and they jam with the lively, horn-blasted “Ramblin’,” digging into a groove and letting loose a wild guitar solo.
