Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)

"Gimme Gimme Gimme", recorded with the 1979 tour in mind and to be included on "Greatest Hits Vol. 2", was released in October 1979, a few weeks before the compilation and a few weeks after the tour started. "Gimme" became one of ABBA's biggest hits and was the 4th of 5 hit singles for the group in 1979, the rest being for tracks taken from "Voulez-Vous". The B-side was uniformly "The King Has Lost His Crown", also taken from "Voulez-Vous".
The 'regular' 4:45 version was used both on "Greatest Hits Vol. 2" and the singles, except in North America, where a 3:36 edit appeared on singles.
The Spanish version "¡Dame! ¡Dame! ¡Dame!" was recorded in 1980 (for the "Gracias Por La Música" album) and released as a single in Spain, the US and in Latin America, both on its own and as a double A-side – see Dame! Dame! Dame! (opens in a new tab) and Dame! Dame! Dame! / Gracias Por La Musica.
The 'white clothes, green background' design was used on all singles, except in Italy, where a different design, with an older photo from the "Summer Night City" video shoot, was used instead.
