(GI) is a Punk album by Germs, originally released in 1979. On Gatefold: 32 pressings tracked, owned by 15 collectors.
About
The Germs were America’s answer to The Sex Pistols, both in terms of the Los Angeles fire-starters' provocative punk snark and their tragically truncated impact. Released a year before frontman Darby Crash committed suicide, Gi finds producer Joan Jett valiantly capturing the energy of the band’s legendarily unhinged live shows. Tracks like “Lexicon Devil” and “We Must Bleed” display the group’s locked-in, unstoppable momentum, which laid the groundwork for Crash’s violent, unholy vocal exorcisms.

Notes from the original pressing. Later editions may differ.
First pressing in tip-on sleeve (brown cardboard-colored inside, unlike later ones which are white inside) and with a two-sided lyrics insert instead of a printed inner sleeve.
All original pressings (1st, 2nd, and probably beyond) have no text along spine of sleeve. The T-shirt insert was not included with the first pressing as several of the T-shirts reference later Slash label releases.

The record has actually no title, as the band's name was changed into Germs (GI). Nonetheless, "(GI)" is usually the title this LP is referred.
