About

Future Street is the second studio album of the soft rock/yacht rock band Page. Following the release and the lack of commercial success from their 1978 debut Page, Pages returned to the studio to record Future Street. This album featured session musicians Charles "Icarus" Johnson on acoustic and electric guitar, George Lawrence on drum, and notably including Kenny Loggins (backing vocals and songwriting on Who's Right, Who's Wrong. The cover sleeve is designed by founding member John Lang. In an interview with founding member Richard Page, he states that him and Jerry Manfredi and Steve George were "writing all the music, but it just didn't sound right; everybody knew it, but it was left unspoken for a long time because of that lingering bond." Produced by Bobby Colomby, drummer of Blood, Sweat & Tear, Future Street blended the finely crafted overtones of the first album with somewhat hard-edged pop-rock sound with progressive overtone, heavily influenced by additional session musicians like Loggin, George Hawkins (backing vocals on Two People), Joey Trujilio, and Jai Winding. .
