According to the artist's website, this album was recorded following the release of Del's second album, No Need For Alarm (opens in a new tab), but never commercially released. Upon leaving the Elektra label and beginning work on the Hieroglyphics' 1998 album, 3rd Eye Vision (opens in a new tab), a cassette version (opens in a new tab) of "Future Development" was sold exclusively through the Hiero Imperium label's website. It has since been reissued.
