About
"This album is about immigrating to the United States of America in July 1996. It was written exactly 25 years later, in July 2021, in Berlin, Germany. ‘former kingdoms’ refers to all the places, including my native country, left behind when I immigrated to the US. They were all kingdoms in my little universe, filled with vivid memories that continue to shape me to this day. This record attempts to capture a moment in time – my immigrant journey to America and the initial shock of facing a completely unknown geographical and cultural environment.".
