About
Led by the furious rhythm section of mega-rock masterminds Monster Magnet, The Atomic Bitchwax have been bastions of killer fuzz freakouts, wah-drenched psych guitars, and full-tilt stoner boogie since their early ’90s inception. On their seventh album, the New Jersey power trio cranks up the doper voltage with hairy riff rocker “Hippie Speedball,” the stop-start power grooves of “Earth Shaker (Which Doobie U Be),” the huge hooks of “Shell of a Man,” and intergalactic instrumental “Fried Dyed and Layin to the Side.”
