After nearly two decades of touring, the Eli Young Band is familiar with the strain of being away from family. On <i>Fingerprints</i>, they reconnect with what’s important, like their faith (“Saltwater Gospel”), their inner children ("Drive"), and their soulmates ("Skin and Bones”). Despite some heavier lyrical themes (“The Days I Feel Alone” is a ballad about homesickness), the album’s grooves are warm and upbeat, making it a perfect soundtrack for summer tailgates, beach bonfires, or long drives back home.
