Fanny Hill, the group's third album, was recorded at Apple Studios in London from December 4-18, 1971, and was released on the Reprise label in 1972. Liner notes for the LP releases of Fanny Hill included lyrics for Fanny's original songs but not for the album's two covers, Marvin Gaye's "Ain't That Peculiar" and "Hey Bulldog" by the Beatles. Fanny changed some of the lyrics to "Hey Bulldog" and also added an extra verse which the Beatles granted them permission to record.
