False Priest by Of Montreal

False Priest is an Alt/Indie album by Of Montreal, originally released in 2010. On Gatefold: 8 pressings tracked, owned by 4 collectors.

About

Kevin Barnes has prided himself on keeping his of Montreal project as hard to classify as possible, but he still surprised fans by taking his funk-pop fascinations to their farthest extremes on False Priest, recruiting producer Jon Brion to give his manic grooves a full-bodied sheen. Brion fattens up the sultry R&B swinger "Coquet Coquette" and adds a neon shimmer to the seedy New Wave of "Famine Affair," while Janelle Monáe proves a worthy sparring partner to Barnes on the slithering "Enemy Gene."
