“Eye to the Telescope” is the debut studio album by Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall, initially released on December 13, 2004, by Relentless Records in the UK. The album was later re-released on January 10, 2005, and saw its U.S. release on February 7, 2006, under Virgin Records. Produced by Steve Osborne, Andy Green, and Martin Terefe, the album blends elements of folk, pop, and rock, showcasing Tunstall’s versatile songwriting and distinctive vocals. In celebration of the album’s 20th anniversary, KT Tunstall performed Eye to the Telescope in its entirety during a special concert at the Royal Concert Hall in Glasgow, as part of the Celtic Connections festival. The performance featured unique mash-ups and guest appearances, highlighting the album’s enduring appeal.

Released in 2004, the Eye To The Telescope album catapulted Scottish Singer Songwriter KT Tunstall into the global spotlight, fuelled by an unforgettable live debut of “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree” on Later… with Jools Holland. The record went on to achieve platinum status in both the UK and US.
The album includes several standout tracks, including the aforementioned “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree”, “Other Side of The World” and notably the hit single “Suddenly I See,” which became a defining pop culture moment after featuring prominently in the opening sequence of The Devil Wears Prada.
In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the iconic debut album, Eye To The Telescope, special “Stargazer” edition reissues are available on exclusive vinyl and CD formats, these editions include previously unreleased recordings, B-sides, and exclusive live sessions.
The Stargazer Editions of ETTT features the addition of three new songs, including “Cancerian”, “Anything At All”, as well as the title track “Eye To The Telescope”. These songs were started during the original sessions and left unfinished until this year. ETTT features David Davidson returning to add lush orchestration, alongside a special performance from acclaimed musician Shabaka.
The Stargazer Editions are available in 2LP (blue & pink coloured vinyl), 2CD, and 4CD formats, alongside a 1LP Standard Edition for collectors and newcomers alike.
