"Enjoy Yourself" is the second studio album by Kylie Minogue, released on 9 October 1989 in the United Kingdom by Pete Waterman Entertainment and on 6 November 1989 in Australia by Mushroom Record. In the United State, it was released in January 1990 by Geffen Record. Following the commercial success of her debut album "Kylie", Minogue worked again with the production team Stock Aitken Waterman, who wrote and produced most of the album’s material. Recording took place in London between February and July 1989, during the same period that Minogue was filming her first feature film "The Delinquents". "Enjoy Yourself" is a pop album incorporating elements of bubblegum pop, dance-pop, and disco, with lyrical themes focused on romantic relationship. Critical reception was mixed, with some reviewers noting similarities to her debut release. In the United Kingdom, the album debuted at number one, supported by pre-release sales of over 600,000 copie, and became one of the best-selling albums of 1989. It was certified four times platinum by the British Phonographic Industry in January 1990. The album also reached number one in Ireland and charted within the top ten in Australia, Japan, and New Zealand. In the United State, it achieved limited commercial succe. .
