About
Leaping headlong into British drum 'n' bass culture on Earthling, Bowie's masterful songwriting sounds perfectly at home amid a maelstrom of rattling snares and shrieking electronics. He pushes his vocals to the background on tracks like the gorgeously frenzied “Dead Man Walking,” but his rock sensibilities still shine through, as he recorded the samples and loops here himself. Creating his own palette of beats, melodies, and industrial grit, Bowie propels through tracks like the manic "Little Wonder" and the slow-groove "Looking for Satellites."
