About
Steel Pulse loosened up their politically charged stance and hit dance floors with the infectious hooks and playful horns on "Steppin' Out." Even more surprising was "Throne of Gold," a laidback love song with smooth-jazz saxophone. But their passionate Rastafarian doctrine appears on the rest of the album, with the hard-driving title song and gospel-influenced "Wild Goose Chase" both warning of apocalyptic times ahead. The slicker production and David Hinds' soulful voice make this one of the band's most inviting albums.
