About
"Draconian Times" is the fifth studio album by British gothic metal band Paradise Lost, released on 12 June 1995 through Music for Nations and Relativity Record. It features a blend of gothic rock and heavy metal element, reflecting the band’s continued stylistic development during the mid-1990. Two tracks from the album, "The Last Time" and "Forever Failure", were released as singles accompanied by music video, and both achieved positions in the music chart. The album was later performed in its entirety by Paradise Lost on the live release "Draconian Times MMXI". It was also included, alongside "Shades of God" and "Icon", in a compilation box set titled "Original Album Classics". During the recording sessions for "Draconian Times", a song titled "Another Desire" was written but not included on the album or its reissue. Instead, the track was released as part of the single "Forever Failure". .
