About
Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 1 is the seven-track debut mini-album by Lil Peep. It was originally due out 11 August before being pushed back at the last minute, to 1 September, then appearing online late on 15 August. The album features production from Smokeasac and IIVI, and was made with help from Grammy-winning musician Rob Cavallo and bassist Juan Alderete. It’s the first Lil Peep project without sample, which were heavily used in his previous track. In 2017, Lil Peep had decided to leave his home in California, Peep opted to move to London, England, using his Swedish citizenship and passport to stay. In London, Peep's management, "First Access Entertainment" (who he had been signed with since June 2016) helped Peep set up with a home and studio. The opportunity gave Peep his first chance to record in a studio and was the first time he collaborated outside of his immediate circle. He began working with Rob Cavallo and eventually, Astasio, a member of the Invisible Men songwriting and production trio. Peep used to record on his microphone at home as well as at the studio, the $800 microphone being bought with his own money. Tragically, only 3 months after his debut album released, Lil Peep lost his life at just 21-years-old when he accidentally overdosed on a lethal combination of prescription and illicit drug. .
