Sinatra's fifth studio album for Capitol, and 11th overall studio album. Recorded in mono only on March 8, April 4-5, and November 1, 1956, at Capitol Studios in Hollywood. Instead of a full string section, the recordings featured The Hollywood String Quartet, with assorted soloists and support players filling out the sound. Originally released in the U.S. on January 21, 1957.
Producer Voyle Gilmore is credited on later reissues, but not initial issues.
