The prolific New Orleans pianist's frisky contribution to the Popeye dance craze, along with its dance-lesson B-side, opens this cardinal collection of Eddie Bocage's R&B singles from the late '50s and early '60s. Bo's knack for balladry is on display in "It Must Be Love," the Crescent City's snappy parade beat fuels "Tell It Like It Is," and Little Richard loved "Baby I'm Wise" enough to adapt it as "Slippin' and Slidin'."
