Chase This Light by Jimmy Eat World

Chase This Light is an Alt/Indie album by Jimmy Eat World, originally released in 2007. On Gatefold: 19 pressings tracked, owned by 15 collectors.

About

Jimmy Eat World's sixth album contains trace elements of the band's emo-punk roots—including the fist-pumping political statement "Electable (Give It Up)” and the wailing rocker "Big Casino”—but the LP is more notable for its far-flung pop vistas. Uneasy strings ooze through the menacing dirge "Gotta Be Somebody's Blues," while the blooming, orchestral "Dizzy" is torqued with thundering piano and fuzzed-out, chiming guitars. On the peppier side, the neon-hued "Here It Goes" hews surprisingly close to danceable '80s rock.
