On Supernature, Mark used for the first time an ARP Odyssey at Trident Studio in London. The song features an environmental theme, imagining a future where the use of artificial chemicals in agriculture has caused "creatures down below" to emerge and "take their sweet revenge" against mankind. The lyrics were written by producer Alain Wisniak and Lene Lovich (although official credited first on the Supernature 86 (UK 1986) (opens in a new tab) remix) and was inspired by the SF novel The Island of Dr. Moreau by H. G. Wells.
In 1987 Lena Lovich did her version on the compilation Animal Liberation
