After spending 15 years at the coalface of progressive metal, TesseracT’s larger-than-life frontman Daniel Tompkins channels his talents into a debut solo record—an emotionally-charged exploration of human relationships and their oddities. "Black the Sun" sees choral organs and echoing effects swoon amidst a keening chorus, while the slow-burning "Limitless", which features songwriter Dmitry Stepanov, pairs lyrics about a lost love with an earworm of a synth melody.
