About
Don’t let the title of Deerhoof’s 11th album fool you. Breakup Song finds the indie-rock court jesters in full-on party mode, trying out new dance moves and delivering some of their hardest headbanging material. “There’s That Grin” kicks off festivities with a smudged-out funk groove, before “The Trouble with Candyhands” brings out a full salsa line and the epic closer “Fête D’adeiu” slowly lilts away.
