Bird Brains is an Electronic album by Holy Fuck, originally released in 2017.
About
After hinting at a more melodic direction on 2016’s Congrats, the Toronto avant-electro-rock quartet gets back to bruising business on this follow-up EP. Bird Brains renders the dance floor as a battlefield: The title track is an industrial-funk workout caked in punk grit; the seven-minute “Chains” is a merciless techno-powered assault that thrusts you into a nightmarish, funhouse-mirrored netherworld. The only moment of respite is provided by “Raymond,” a percolating post-apocalyptic soundscape laced with ominous saxophone drones.
