A melancholy and riveting fifth studio album, Before The Robots is a perfect summer album. Interestingly enough, the record is filled to the brim with specific character, situation, and lyrical perfection. From Griffin's drop dead sexy vocals in "It's Only Natural" to his falsetto in "Juicy," fans will have their high expectations met. The rerendition of "A Lifetime" is moving, heartbreaking, and very original. Props to you, Griffin (I'm also loving the drums in "American Dream," McNabb. We miss you buddy). Before The Robots did not chart; however, it did receive moderate airplay. The album's popularity went up when Taylor Swift covered "Breathless" in the Hope for Haiti Now performance. She has also covered "Our Last Night," a few times in concert. .
