According to the archives of Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, Illinois, this album was recorded on July 14, 1974 during the 6th annual Mississippi River Festival. On this album, Deodato and his band were accompanied by the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra conducted by Leonard Slatkin. The original LP does not list any artist credits. A CD reissue (opens in a new tab) does list the performers, however, it incorrectly lists that this album was recorded in June, 1974.
